Meet Our Minister

 Hi, I’m Tim Henderson and I’m the preacher for the Southside church of Christ, please allow me to introduce myself.  I was born in Illinois, but grew up throughout the southern states (Mississippi, Arkansas & Alabama).  I met my beautiful wife, Anna, while living in Alabama.  I had begun preaching on a part time basis when we first married, preaching for several small congregations in the North Alabama area.  After doing so for about a year, Anna and I decided I should begin preaching full-time.  We moved to Bossier City, LA to work with the congregation there.  It was a good first work and we enjoyed our three years there, and were blessed with our first child while living there, our daughter Brooklyn, who is now 13.

Since that beginning, I have worked with congregations in Tennessee, Maryland, West Virginia and now South Dakota. We were also blessed with our son Austin, 7 who was born while we lived in Tennessee.  I have held several Gospel Meetings in Alabama, Tennessee, West Virginia and Louisiana.  I was blessed with the opportunity to travel overseas to work with a small group of Christians in Mariupol, Ukraine for three weeks in 2003, I would love to be able to go back and work with the Christians there again.

We love living here in the beautiful Black Hills.  The area is absolutely wonderful, with great scenery, friendly people, and our church family here at Southside have welcomed us right in and made us feel at home.
